Default So I'm at this Home and Vehicle Defense Class at Thunder Ranch this Week

Ok...
So the instructor is under THE instructor for the week. Class has been interesting. Clint is in rare form and obviously in a good mood. We, the wife and daughter and I, have shot about 1500 rounds. The XD 45 Tactical with the 24/7 sights has been running like a top. I have not shot the gun this much at any sitting and while I have previously put 500+ rounds through the thing and have carried it for about a year, I haven't put myself under pressure while using the gun. The class has alot of fairly new shooters and the collective skill is somewhat lower than the last class I took here, but we have done alot of skills drills and Clint is really a good motivator. He took the time to talk to both the wife and I about things we could apply as instructors. He keeps us in mind when he is making a point and then will come and talk to us privately about applying the learning point. When little ole me made a mistake...He made sure to apply the lesson with the group and individually.
Tommorrow we will be shooting from the cars and in the house. As a probation officer I search houses alot so this is definately a tuneup I am looking forward to and while I work out of my car for 8 hours a day and I am looking forward to getting the info...
I have put together some notes that I am going to apply to my CCW class that I teach and the department I work for.
Will update after class tommorrow or on Saturday.
