That is the third time I've heard that notion from the LEO profession. In a class a long time ago the instructor had us stand and tell what type of pistol we would use for the training. There were plenty of Sigs, Glocks, Berettas, HKs and revolvers. There was only a handful of us O Frame shooters. After the class had commited themselves to their choice of pistol, the instructor told us "when I see a 1911, I think advanced student".
