Does a fanny pack count? Unless it's in the pack or a concealed and dedicated weapons pouch such as in my briefcase or camera bag, it is in a holster.
My opinion...carrying a weapon unsupported or with an exposed trigger and/or safety is unprofessional and irresponsible. One ND and you could be putting an innocent bystander at risk, not to mention parts of your body.
