I like Shooters' Paradise as a range, and most of the people there are cool. Their gun prices are pretty outrageous, though.
Fort Courage is a great place, and Tim is awesome. I highly recommend it if you can make it out that way.
There's also Camarillo Shooters' Supply on Carmen. I haven't been able to make it in there during business hours, so I can't attest to their service or prices, but I thought I'd throw it in the mix as something a little closer to you.
