Is there a major difference between muscular and just plain chubby?

Body type and what you'll be able to wear will help determine what works best. I have a "tuckable" IWB that I can wear most of the time with whatever I wear. I have an OWB paddle that I can wear more comfortably in the cooler months. Up here in the foothills, a long sleeve plaid flannel shirt untucked doesn't look out of place and is forgiving to printing, but down in the valley might make you look like you're from "the hood".

I've toyed with the idea of a shoulder holster for when I'm on a long range motorcycle ride, but just haven't had to address that situation seriously yet. I'll need something that hugs close but doesn't force me to go a size larger than the leathers I already wear. Because I'd be stopping in the desert as well as mountain where it's cooler, there would be times that removing a leather jacket, even if just long enough to have a sit down lunch would leave me wondering about a transition from shoulder holster carry to something a little less conspicuous.
