Usually a XD45 tactical with light ....between the mattress and box spring with the grip portion hanging out... been doing that for 20 years....a streamlight tl3 on the nightstand...cocker spaniel and lab/retriever mix.... well hanging around the house.....the wife has her 45 XD tac. or her wilson combat 870 with the springy thingee stock....and the 13 year old has a Mossberg 12 with buck and slugs if the situation goes south... the 12ga normally resides in a safe though...a couple of times when things have been "hinky" around here.... it is either the AR with a 30 rounder mag or the mini with a 30 rounder (both loaded with 28 rounds .... don't ask)...
The neigbor has an AK... if she ever starts yelling at an intruder I think I will just hit the floor...hahahahahaha
