Would this not open law enforment agencies to law suits when there are accidental discharges and someone is injured? A lawyer may assume the accident was due to an "unsafe" firearm. And an uninformed jury may just rule against them.
This question is mostly just academic because I know that they are doing this specifically to separate the people and promote misinformation.
I agree the law shouldn't exempt some and disallow others...
Having said that, I can only deal with what is... not what I want it to be..

RE:unsafe firearms... the law said it is "not unsafe" if it is on the list... that is how agencies can buy off list guns... they aren't unsafe...they just have not been certified as not-unsafe..... I wish some lawyer would go after a large agency that issues off-list guns... just to get the agencies on board with our disgust with the law....
