#2 You would have to prove that driving on the wrong side of the road (which had the potential to kill someone) was greater then the threat of you being followed. The "playing chicken' part sounds odd, as per the "suspect" he was trying to keep you in his sites not contact you.
#3 See #1
#4 Did he force you to drive on the wrong side of the road? Or did you choose to?

You were both guilty of 23103(a)CVC.
We could argue about this all day. Bottom line, I didn't get cited. I would also do it 100 more times IF the situation warranted it. I was avoiding confrontation, and that's my justification. At the time, I felt my life was in danger. I may be more prone to danger than the regular person, but I'm not going to post my GC here.

The whole story should come out before people start throwing attaboys out there.
1. I won't tell.
2. I was sitting in my car, reading a newspaper.
3. There are no open businesses in the lot, it's a parking lot for a bunch of shut down businesses.
4. 3pm
5. I won't go into details about my car, but as I said before: "well-kept newer vehicle built in the last few years, not some beat up piece of junk"
6. Factory rear tint, clear front windshield and clear drivers and passenger front windows
7. "well-kept newer vehicle built in the last few years, not some beat up piece of junk"
8. My first time in that lot ever. Once I arrived, I notified police. Was there for a few hours with no problems.

I'm not really even sure that guy was the property manager, as he told police. I tried to research it, but couldn't confirm or deny. It could have been an outside vigilante for all I know.

In the end, both he and I were doing our jobs. Unfortunately, I think he took detaining a moving vehicle a little far, but that's his problem. Next time he does that and he's chasing down a criminal, I don't believe that a criminal would hesitate to harm him.
