Even responsible LEOs can do some really stupid things while carrying and being drunk. I know one former LEO that drew his firearm and fired off several shots in the air when he was drunk. And yes, the "former" description was because of this event. I know another that drew his weapon while in a bar so he could show it to a buddy. I saw him do this. Neither of these guys would have done this while sober.

Have there been a lot of incidents with CCW holders acting irresponsible while drinking in Nevada? I think the legislature would change the law if it turned out to be a problem, I believe it has not. I personally don't drink much I on occasion have a beer or glass of wine with dinner and don't find it irresponsible to do so and drive afterwards and if it were legal in California to CCW I don't think it would be irresponsible to CCW either. Remember it is legal to Drink and drive afterwards as long as you do so within the parameters set forth in the law which is a BAC of .08 or less, I don't think having those same reasonable parameters for CCW holders is unreasonable. Why Nevada has .10 for CCW and .08 for DUI is beyond me, but I personally think its more dangerous to DUI than CCW with a BAC of .10, however I would not oppose the law to be .08 for both.
