Pull on the slide over the recoil plug to draw back the slide and peak inside to me thats a press check not a pull the trigger check.

I have also heard it referred to as a "press check" The point CCWI is making is that it is safer and more correct to call it a "chamber check" since that is what you are doing. Using the phrase "press check" could result in an AD if you are dealing with a Darwin candidate.
