I Was told by the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Department they do not give ccw permits unless you deal with large amounts of money or are in law enforcement, or a rural farmer,they do not issue permits for self protection to the normal public.
The Sheriff did go on to tell me that I could have a gun at home, but since I do Live in Stockton, leaving the weapon at home defeats the purpose of requsting a ccw for self protection in the city and county streets.
Has anyone else had similar responses from the San Joaquin Co Sheriff's Dept.
