M-Pro 7 Bore Gel
I picked up a bottle of this gel at Evans a couple of weeks back. Pat and Chris of Evans both recommended it.
I decided to use it on my Kimber Ultra CDP II. For those unfamiliar with that gun, it has a 3" barrel, which to me makes running a bore brush through multiple times a pain (big hands). Also, this gun has about 450 rounds through it on about 4 seperate range visits with no cleaning except for the initial when I got it. It has (ok, had) a heavy build up in the barrel.
Used the gel to see how much work it would do for me and how clean ultimately it would get. Works GREAT!. Shiny and smooth, and all I used was a bore swab to apply and to remove the gel. I followed up with CLP and that was it.
The product is a bit expensive, but for certain applications I think I will continue to stock it in my gun cleaning inventory.
