+1 to what Citizen stated. From what the OP has stated as facts, this is very alarming. Having said that, we all know there are two sides to every story and if the "gun" word was used at the wrong time during the initial officer contact, I can see how things could go south quickly. To the OP, keep us posted as to how things progress and if you feel you handled it properly and would handle it the same way again, don't let this drop, there is too much at stake to blow this off as not a big deal.
