We have all of the aforementioned critters here in Plumas county.

I have personally seen two "hikers" coming out of the forest with shovels in their packs carrying bulging nylon bags in each hand. I wonder what was in those bags? In what is a normally friendly environment all they wanted to do was to be on their way. They had no desire for conversation and were visibly uncomfortable.

Two weeks ago, a friend had a mountain lion go right by his house on the way to the creek behind his property.

A week ago sunday night my neighbor called me to ask my assistance. A bear was pushing on her kitchen door trying to get in the house. She was home alone and was quite upset by the whole thing.

Living in the mountains is stimulating.
