A question - I'm not sure what the big deal is about telling a cop in vauge terms why you have a CCW - "I had some threats, I have a job that requires me to carry expensive stuff, my Sheriff issues for personal protection" etc???
It seems to me that if you're stubborn about it - which of course you have every right to be - that you've just given a bad impression about non-LEO CCW holders from whatever jurisdiction you live in - if not all of them. I'm not saying you restate your good cause like you did during your interview - just in vauge terms - chances are the cop's just trying to figure out how to get his wife, mom, daughter, dad, etc a CCW.
