Default CCWI was correct. OCSD does not exist!

For years, Greg (CCWI) has been correcting me. Sheriff Office, there is no such thing as sheriff department. Any elected person holds office, departments have appointed people. As defined by law.

Even CA Sheriff uses office.
California State Sheriffs' Association

California State Sheriffs' Association

The Office of Sheriff is one of antiquity and is the oldest law enforcement office known within the common law system and has always been accorded great dignity and trust. The Sheriffs of California are elected and are constitutional officers in the Constitution of the State of California.

This months issue of the CA. Sheriff Association has a article addressing just that subject. It cites government code and court cases, the same ones CCWI has been saying for years.
