I shoot bricks through my glocks and they still don't jam!
I love the feel of the Kimber, but I just can't rely on it to save my life.

I'm in the same boat. All my kimbers were replaced by H&K's that have yet to experience a problem. Both of my kimbers experienced problems and I just could not be comfortable letting my life hang on the "well what if it's a bad kimber day". Some people, theirs work great - I envy them. The CDP II is a gorgeous gun and and when mine worked it was dreamy to shoot.
My p2000sk might not look very attractive but I've got twice as many rounds through it as both of my kimbers had and have yet to experience ANY problem. The thing just works. Yeah it's not a .45 it's a .40 but I'll take 9 guaranteed shots over an unknown number of shots that make bigger holes any day.
If I'm fabulously wealthy some day I will definitely have kimber show pieces. They just oooze gun sexy.
