I don't know the stats but I would bet that most violent crime has little to do with taking down large sums of cash or valuables. When I was assaulted/robbed in April, it was gang members just looking for trouble. They gave me a nice beat down, and for good measure took my wallet. They used my ATM card to get some KFC at the drive through, but left me unconscious with $3800 in my left front pocket.
It disgusts me that the COPs and Sheriffs would issue to people to protect their stuff, but don't see fit to issue to protect life and limb. What has our state/country come to?
