Here is the letter I received in response to my inquiry...
I sent you the standard Department of Justice application for a concealed weapons permit. I appreciate you asking for the possibility of receiving such and maybe saving you the time and effort to in filling the paperwork out. As you are probably aware, obtaining a CCW is difficult and as of this date, our agency has not issued any CCW's. The only CCW's that I have heard being issued through my career are to Reserve Police Officers or citizens where their line of work dictates it, for example: citizen who transport expensive jewelry or goods that are high in value.

Should I call and see if I can get anywhere? I have had a permit for about 12 years plus plenty of training in firearms and instruction in the use of deadly force.
