I have a tall (60") gun safe. As expected it has a nice felt lined "rack" in it that allows a half dozen or so rifles or shotguns to be placed in its little notches standing them up nicely and keeping them from banging into their neighbors.
Unfortunately, its at a fixed spot in the safe and its HIGHER than the ends of the barrels of most of my long guns.
Is there a off the shelf solution to this issue? Maybe a secondary rack that could be glued into the safe at a lower postion that would hold up the shorter guns?
Im figuring I cant be the first person here to have this issue... And somebody must have discovered a simple solution?
Thanks for the help.

My solution is to use one of the gun cases that came with any one of my handguns (some are thicker than others) and lay one or more* on the floor (*for width not height) of the safe and set the rifles on top of the cases thus raising the hight of the floor in a simple kinda way.
I have also been known to uses boxes of ammo. A rolled up back brace. Well you get the point.
I am sure there is a much more

kinda way to do it.

And no I do not have duct tape holding my car windows in place!
